The campaign to recall Trustee Scott Eckert from the Grossmont Union High School District (GUHSD) Governing Board has been officially endorsed by leading labor groups in San Diego County. We appreciate these endorsements and thank these groups for supporting public education:
Grossmont Education Association, which represents over 950 professional educators at nine comprehensive high schools and other programs in East County.
The San Diego and Imperial Counties Labor Council, which represents more than 200,000 working families, including local nurses, teachers, firefighters, retail workers, truck drivers, construction tradespeople, grocery employees, domestic workers, janitors, stagehands, and college professors.
SEIU Local 221, which represents more than 13,000 public sector employees in San Diego and Imperial counties who work for county, local city governments, clinics and school districts, as well as Head Start.
IBEW Local Union 569, which represents over 3,700 electrical workers in San Diego & Imperial Counties.
