In his campaign for the GUHSD Board, Eckert vowed to meet student needs and improve school safety. Unfortunately, Eckert’s board decisions have gutted local public schools:

Concerned parents, educators, and community members have come together to halt Eckert’s public school mismanagement. The Grossmont Education Association (GEA) recently endorsed the Eckert recall. GEA represents over 950 professional educators at nine comprehensive high schools and other programs in East County.

With the Eckert recall underway, volunteers are currently completing the steps to secure County approval to recall GUHSD Board Members Jim Kelly, Robert Shield, and Gary C. Woods.
